With our expertise and our extensive new Chevy inventory, we make it our mission to pair our customers with their perfect vehicle. One way we do that is with research, explaining the ins and outs of our favorite Chevy models, as well as what sets them apart from competing models of similar size and description.

Take our fan favorite Chevy Equinox, for example. A longtime popular model for our customers, this five-passenger SUV is stylish, well equipped, and great for family trips or commutes to the office. But we know there are other SUVs in this class that may be competing for your attention. As we get ready to welcome all new, 2024 Chevy Equinox SUVs into our collection, we want to demonstrate just some of the ways in which it crushes the competition – read on to learn more.

The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox vs. the Toyota RAV4

Similarly designed with four doors, a rear liftgate for easy cargo accessibility and storage, two rows of seating, and space for up to five people, the Chevy Equinox and the Toyota RAV4 appear, on the surface at least, to have a lot in common. When you peer a little closer at the two compact SUVs, however, you find a number of areas where our Equinox comes out ahead. For example,:

  • Standard power. The Chevy Equinox has more oomph right out of the gate, getting you quickly up to highway speeds with a standard, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 203 pound-feet of torque. This makes the Chevy Equinox responsive and fun to drive for Clarkston, MI drivers, and it also delivers a higher power output than the Toyota RAV4, which comes standard with an inline-four engine and just 184 pound-feet of torque.
  • Passenger space and comfort. Although similar in a lot of interior areas of headroom, legroom, and shoulder room, our Chevy Equinox manages to come out ahead of in a couple of key places that we think you’ll appreciate. Specifically, you can look forward to more room to stretch your legs in the backseat of the Chevy Equinox compared to the Toyota RAV4, and you can expect more front seat headroom in our Chevy SUV as well.
  • Standard tech amenities. Technology and automotive features have come a long way in recent years, and drivers from Grand Blanc, MI to Highland, MI have come to expect great things from their new vehicle. The Chevy Equinox has kept up pace, and led the charge, in most of these areas. For example, the 2024 Equinox comes with a long list of standard tech features, and more than the Toyota RAV4 delivers standard. Highlights include standard 4G LTE and standard Wi-Fi hotspot, as well as standard satellite radio.
