The trees are being transplanted in preparation for a substantial remodeling and expansion project that will be taking place at Vic Canever Chevrolet, located at 3000 Owen Road in Fenton. “The site plan for the improvements that will be taking place at the dealership called for the removal of the trees,” according to Richard Canever, owner of Vic Canever Chevrolet, “Given the traumatic impact the tornado had on our downtown area, we thought transplanting the trees downtown to replace some of the trees that were destroyed would be great for the community, and of course, great for the trees!” Vic Canever Chevrolet will be undergoing a $3 million face lift and expansion that will include an all-new, expanded showroom, a larger customer lounge complete with oversized comfortable chairs and a premium coffee station, a children’s game room, a new GM Accessories display area, and an all-new service write-up area. “This will be a state of the art facility that will offer our customers first class amenities,” states Mark Janowiecki, General Manager of the dealership. “The Fenton area has been good to us and we felt it was time to give something back, with an all-new facility that will put the customer experience over the top.” An official ground-breaking/tree transplanting ceremony will take place at the dealership on Friday, October 19 at 10am.
